Dig Ferreira

Multidisciplinary Brazilian artist whose work lives across four pillars: Doc-Drawing, Forging Armors, Shakuhachi, and Dance. Since 2016, Doc-Drawing has been his signature — a performative technique using a Japanese sumi brush held in his mouth to capture moments, emotions, and social environments in real time. What began in the streets of São Paulo has grown into large-scale works and live performances across Brazil and the U.S. In Forging Armors, he transforms second-hand clothing into wearable art — garments that function as symbolic, poetic, and functional protection. Every piece is hand-forged or mouth-drawn, made to embody presence, movement, and memory. Trained in Interior Design at IED, grounded in Shakuhachi flute under Sensei Akio Yamaoka, and dancing since age 10 — together, these form what he calls a living archive of life itself. He painted the Juicy Times masthead. By mouth.
