Dreamers say a dream out loud, and name what stands in its way, then the whole room takes the obstacles apart: introductions, practical solutions, and breakthrough ideas.

We can bring our audience at the times you wish your venue had more people: a slow weekday, a morning, an afternoon. Prime time works too. Our last room sold out in under two hours.
Transparent registration and tickets.
Guests register and buy tickets through our Dreams & Obstacles portal. You can follow the count live, and we can cap it at the number that suits your space.
A room sized to you.
Twelve people or two hundred, we shape it to fit your space.
An easy event to host.
It is all about meaningful human connection. People listen, help each other and respect the room, and we look after the place.
Your venue’s dream, too.
We invite someone from your team to stand up, name your dream or your obstacle, and let the room’s collective intelligence go to work on it.
Beautiful content and a feature in The Juicy Times.
We capture the event in photos and video and send them to you for your social media. We would also love to write about your venue and add you to our map of your city.

What happens at Dreams & Obstacles

Say your dream out loud
A dreamer stands up, names the dream, and says what is standing in the way. Then the hands go up: an introduction, a shortcut, the name of someone who has already done it.
Become someone’s guide
A dreamer names an obstacle, and someone else in the room can solve it. A number to call, a warning, a thing they learned the hard way and stopped thinking about. One idea can unlock someone’s dream.
Get your picture taken with your dream
Dreamers write the dream on a card and hold it up. Each photograph is theirs to keep and to share with the world.
Find your people
It takes nerve to stand up and say what you want in front of strangers. The room does it anyway. Vulnerable, beautiful, and the ones who meet that way stay in touch.
It doesn’t stop at the door
The dreams and the obstacles go into the Dreams & Obstacles portal, where dreamers and guides from around the world keep working on them.

About The Juicy Times
Your city, curated by its artists.
The Juicy Times is a media company from New York: a city guide, a cultural publication and an event platform in one app. It exists for real-life, meaningful human connection. Put people, artists and venues together, and something none of them had gets unlocked.
We make our own events with juicy artists in juicy venues. Dreams & Obstacles is one of them: it turns an audience into collaborators. It began with a post that became a movement, and now we’re mapping out its world tour.
