The 53rd Village Halloween Parade goes straight up Sixth Avenue from King Street to West 15th, from seven until about eleven: puppets, bands, dancers and thousands of New Yorkers in costumes they made. Anyone in costume can march, from the lineup at Sixth Avenue and Canal Street between 6:30 and nine. Free.
