The Chai Spot
With A LaptopWhy We Think It's JUICY
The Chai Spot transforms the simple act of drinking chai into a warm, cosy ritual. This cozy lounge serves Pakistani chai varieties rarely found elsewhere, each brewed with care and layered spice. The vibrant décor feels like stepping into a friend’s living room - dim light, carpets and pillows (there are no tables here), tapestries, colors, boardgames and handmade goods. It’s explicitly laptop-friendly, making it a peaceful escape for reading, writing, and one-on-one conversations that stretch longer than expected. Founded by Khalida Brohi and David Barron - the café is a peace-building project (with 50% of profits support women and children in Pakistan) born from an unlikely love story.
This is why it made the JUICY list: The Chai Spot blends cultural authenticity, social purpose, and intimate hospitality into one deeply comforting experience. It’s a place where warmth—emotional, communal, and literal—opens people up.
