Wednesday — King Klavé’s Birthday at Dead Letter No. 9

On Wednesday, we’re gathering at the juiciest Dead Letter No. 9 to celebrate King Klavé turning 39.

King Klavé is a drummer, composer, and producer whose music lives somewhere between Afro-Cuban tradition, jazz, hip-hop, and the future. His debut album was named NPR Staff Picks Album of the Year, and his live shows feel less like performances and more like shared moments of attention.

The show is free. Everyone’s welcome.
