Dreams & Obstacles: An Evening Of Collective Intelligence
An evening of collective intelligence
Tuesday, October 27Doors 6:30 · 7–9 PM
El Barrio's ArtSpace PS109
215 E 99th St · East Harlem · New York, NY

Say your dream out loud
then name the obstacles
and the hands go up.
Someone has done it. Someone found the shortcut. Someone knows a guy.
A collective problem-solving practice
Dreamers say a dream out loud, and name what stands in its way, then the whole room takes the obstacles apart: introductions, practical solutions, and breakthrough ideas.

What to expect
The magic of the room
Say your dream out loud
You stand up, name the dream, and say what is standing in the way. Then the hands go up: an introduction, a shortcut, the name of someone who has already done it.
Become someone's guide
Then someone names an obstacle you can solve. A number to call, a warning, a thing you learned the hard way and stopped thinking about. One idea from you can unlock someone's dream.
Get your picture taken with your dream
Write your dream on a card and hold it up. It is time we owned our dreams and said them beautifully. The photograph is yours to keep and to share with the world.
Find your people
It takes nerve to stand up and say what you want in front of strangers. The room does it anyway. Vulnerable, beautiful, and the ones you meet that way stay in touch.
It doesn't stop at the door
Your dream and your obstacles go into the Dreams & Obstacles portal, where dreamers and guides from around the world keep working on them.
